Project Capsule:The aging low-slope roof over Vintage Liquor in Greeley was already patched and ponding when a Front Range hail storm finished it off. CRC documented and marked the hail damage for the owner's insurance claim, then replaced the roof with a new Johns Manville white TPO membrane backed by a 20-year warranty, trading a dark, failing roof for a bright, reflective, watertight one.

A Greeley Landmark with a Failing Roof

Vintage Liquor is a well-known retail building on a busy Greeley corner, the kind of flat-roofed commercial building that fills the Front Range's older business districts. Its low-slope roof had been patched repeatedly over the years, and water was ponding in the low spots where the old membrane had given up. A roof in that condition has little margin left, and the next big storm is usually the one that ends it.
The Challenge
When a Front Range hail storm rolled through Greeley, it hit a roof that was already at the end of its life. Hail on a low-slope commercial roof is not always obvious from the ground, so CRC got on the roof and documented the damage the way an insurance adjuster does, marking each impact so the full extent of the loss was on the record.

Close inspection told the real story: the hail had knocked the protective granules off the aging membrane and bruised and fractured the mat underneath, the kind of damage that keeps opening up and leaking as the roof weathers. CRC recorded every impact area with photos and chalk marks, documented the hail damage to the parapet coping and rooftop metal, and presented the complete scope to the carrier. Our role here is straightforward: thorough documentation and direct adjuster coordination, so the claim reflects the true condition of the roof.

The Solution
With the damage documented, CRC replaced the failing roof with a complete new Johns Manville white TPO single-ply system. Johns Manville is one of the most respected membrane manufacturers in the country, and CRC is among a select group of contractors in Colorado certified to install their systems. TPO is a strong fit for a building like this: the membrane is heat-welded into one continuous waterproof surface with no seams for hail or wind to work open, and its bright white surface reflects the Front Range sun instead of absorbing it, which lowers the cooling load on the store below. The finished system is backed by a Johns Manville 20-year warranty.
The Result
Vintage Liquor went from a dark, patched, ponding roof to a seamless, reflective white TPO roof engineered for the Front Range's hail and sun, as the before-and-after aerials above show. Because CRC handled the claim from documentation through the finished roof, the owner had one accountable contractor the whole way, and a roof reset to a full service life ahead of the next Colorado storm season.
Why CRC for a Commercial Hail Claim
A hail-damaged commercial roof is often worth far more than a first estimate suggests, but only if someone documents the real condition of the roof. CRC gets on the roof, proves what the storm actually did, and presents the complete scope, then rebuilds it right. Our Denver office serves the Front Range, and our commercial team installs Johns Manville TPO systems and handles storm and hail insurance claims across Colorado.
